Langley House · Wiltshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds
Langley House — where we shall be married
Welcome
We are getting married at Langley House, a Georgian manor in the Wiltshire countryside on the southern edge of the Cotswolds, and we could not be happier that you will be with us. Everything you need is on this page — the plan for the weekend, how to get there, where to stay, and your RSVP.
Com muito amor — we can't wait to celebrate with you.
The Weekend
The wedding day · Langley House
Please arrive from four o'clock and make your way through to the lawn.
Drinks and canapés in the gardens.
A long summer dinner, with a few words from people we love.
Until late. Bring your best moves — the Brazilian side sets a high bar.
Taxis and transfers back to Chippenham and nearby hotels.
The pool party · Langley House
A lazy afternoon by the pool — swimwear, sunglasses and no formality whatsoever.
A Brazilian barbecue on the lawn.
Hugs, leftovers and safe travels home.
Travel & Accommodation
Langley House sits just outside Chippenham, Wiltshire — about two hours from London by car and just over an hour by train.
London Paddington → Chippenham takes about 1 hour 10 minutes on the direct GWR line, running twice hourly.
From Chippenham station it is a 10-minute taxi to the house — we recommend booking your return taxi in advance.
Leave the M4 at Junction 17 and follow signs for Chippenham; the house is about 10 minutes from the motorway.
There is plenty of parking at the house, and cars may be left overnight and collected on Sunday.
Bristol Airport is the closest, about 45 minutes by car.
London Heathrow is roughly 1 hour 30 minutes by car, with direct flights from São Paulo and Rio for guests travelling from Brazil.
We will be running transfers to and from the wedding and the Sunday pool party, so we would love guests to cluster in Chippenham, Castle Combe and Colerne — it makes the transfers simple and the mornings sociable.
The Details
Summer black tie — dinner jackets for those who like them, elegant summer suits for those who don't; long dresses, gowns or your most joyful summer formal wear. wording tbc
The reception and dinner move between lawn and house, so consider heels that forgive grass — or bring flats for dancing.
Sunday is the opposite: swimwear, kaftans, shorts and sunglasses. Bring a towel-bag and something for the evening chill.
Your presence in Wiltshire — some of you from the other side of the Atlantic — is honestly the gift. But for those who have asked, we have put together a small registry.
(Registry link to follow.)
We adore your little ones, and invitations name everyone included. If your invitation doesn't mention the children, we hope the weekend can be a night (or two) off. policy tbc
We will run transfers at the end of the night to Chippenham, Castle Combe and Colerne. For anything else, local firms are AA Taxis Chippenham and V Cars — do book ahead, as Saturday nights in the country are quiet for cabs.
July in Wiltshire is usually glorious, and occasionally… English. The important parts of the day move indoors if the sky misbehaves. Lawns, gravel and one flight of stone steps are involved — plan footwear accordingly.
We are having an unplugged ceremony — our photographer will catch everything, and we would love your eyes rather than your screens. Afterwards, snap away and share generously.
The Most Important Guests
Our two dachshunds have appointed themselves joint masters of ceremonies. Expect them at the reception, briefly, wearing something ridiculous.
